"Donors by the Decades"

A panel will be discussing what donors need at each stage in their lives (20s and 30s versus 50s, 60s and beyond)

President's Message

June 2016

Three big cheers for the excitement created by our AFP chapter!

1) Peyton Salavarria, our Director, Membership Recruitment, hosted an amazing new member orientation on April 22. We were able to share with our newest members all of the wonderful ways to get involved with our Chapter. Did you miss it? Never fear. Peyton will host another one in the fall, so stay tuned for details.

2) Congratulations to Larry Bisno and the entire committee who made the DFW Philanthropy in Action Conference a huge success! I am proud to have a wonderful team of fundraising professionals that boast the honor of hosting one of the largest regional AFP conferences in the United States - and definitely the largest in the South!

3) We are halfway through our year, so let's give a big thank you to our amazing program team. Led by Amy Shackelford, VP Professionals Development and Julia Summers and Lindsay Garner, co-directors, Programs, our chapter programming this year has been top notch! Working with a committee, this team has provided us with wonderful opportunities to network and learn.

I look forward to seeing you at our June 13 chapter meeting led by Nancy Jones and Stephanie Baker from North Texas Community Foundation. Their topic, Donors by the Decades, will cover what donors need at each stage in their lives.
