Greetings!
It's hard to believe OCOM celebrates its 30th anniversary this year! As President Dr. Michael Gaeta said in his keynote address at our recent Cherry Blossom Dinner, "From very humble beginnings 30 years ago, OCOM has earned the distinction of being one of the oldest and most respected acupuncture and Oriental medicine colleges in the U.S." In this issue, you can read all about our first annual Cherry Blossom Dinner, learn more about three new medicinary products to boost your health, read up on OAAOM's fourth annual conference held last month, and get information on four great health-focused events coming up: Oregon Collaborative for Integrative Medicine's (OCIM) free Smoking Cessation lecture, OCOM's May 19 Weekend Specialty Clinic on women's pain management, our new public Taiji Quan class, and our June 8 Saturday Seminar on maximizing women's health. Here's to your good health,

While most formulas are tang-decoctions (湯), and a few are wan-pills (丸), for over 2000 years, every major Chinese medical text has preserved the importance of ground, raw powder preparation for certain delicate, aromatic formulas.
