OCOM Bulletin
APRIL 2013
Greetings!

Have you noticed how much Chinese medicine ---- and acupuncture ---- is in the news these days? Each week, a new article pops up in mainstream newspapers, journals, websites and social media highlighting the effectiveness of this ancient health care practice.

This month's OCOM Bulletin includes a new feature, Chinese Medicine in the News, in which we provide links to provocative articles about the use of Chinese medicine to support health and wellness. This issue also celebrates our 2013 OCOM Cherry Blossom Dinner and Awards honorees, the recent national health care advisory panel appointment of OCOM's Dr. Regina Dehen, the upcoming Healthy Aging conference, and we list a number of excellent opportunities and events in which you can participate to support your health and wellness.

Here's to your good health,

Director of Community Relations and Giving

dehenDr. Regina Dehen Named to National Health Care Advisory Panel

Dr. Dehen, representing clinicians, will join 84 panelists selected from 1,021 national applicants in supporting one of PCORI's four advisory panel groups.

PCORI is authorized by Congress to conduct research to provide information about the best available evidence to help patients and their health care providers make more informed decisions. PCORI's research is intended to give patients a better understanding of the prevention, treatment and care options available, and the science that supports those options.
