Dear Antrim Patrons,
The dog days of summer are here and even in this hot weather there are always cool things going on at your theater. For the third year in a row we are providing a venue for the Helen Hayes Youth Theater summer program. All summer Antrim has been buzzing with the sounds of actors, ages 4 to 18, singing, dancing and putting on incredible productions. It is wonderful to have so much youthful exhuberence at our theater.
The board of directors and our volunteer staff have been busy getting ready for the start of our 78th Sensational season in September. We are planning a season loaded with activities and surprises. The Suffern Street Fair, Sponsor A Seat program, Tote bags and aprons merchandising, D.A.R.E. toy drive, A Christmas Carol extravaganza, just to name a few. Oh yeah, and we need to plan our 5 mainstage productions. So ,as you see, it's going to be a great year and I'm glad you have chosen to be a part of it.
Starting in September we will be offering our patrons a chance to have a plaque with their name affixed to our seats in our Sponsor A Seat program. This is a great way for you to remember a friend or loved one or just have the thrill of seeing your name on a beautiful plaque whenever you come to the theater. More information on this program can be found in this newsletter.
We are determined to never again hear someone say "I've lived in this area for 30 years and never knew Antrim theater was here". So we are developing a strategy to get the word out. One of our first efforts will be to be part of the Suffern Street Fair for the first time on Sunday September 14th from 10AM to 5PM. Come out, visit our booth, learn more about us and get some neat gifts.
As always, I want to thank the teams of actors and production staff who make our productions possible and to the countless other volunteers who work everyday of the season to make this theater run.
I also want to thank you, our patrons, for supporting us. Without you, none of this would be possible or necessary.
