Dear Antrim Patrons,

On behalf of myself and the Antrim Board of  Directors I want to  wish all of our subscribers, members and friends a very happy holiday season. I hope that 2014 finds everyone healthy and prosperous.

2013 proved to be a very challenging year for Antrim. Revenues were down, production expenses continued to rise and for the first time we were forced to cancel a production. All very disturbing. However, the good news is that due to the hard work of our Board of Directors and volunteers and creative fiscal planning Antrim is very well positioned to come roaring back in 2014. When we announce our slate for next season you will see exciting productions and a musical that will be a blockbuster. To sum it up we are in good shape and will continue to bring you the very best in community theater for many years to come.

I am very excited about our remaining 3 shows for this season. A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Derek Tarson, opens on January 17th and from what I've seen at the rehearsals this is a show you do not want to miss. In March we bring you an hilarious comedy about some very dysfunctional families in You Can't Take It With You, directed by Marty Andreas. We close our season in June with an endearing comedy called The Boys Next Door, directed by Bobbi Schevitz.

I want to congratulate Larry Beckerle, Elaine Vogel, Jim Guarasci, Sandy Gordon, the Elmwood Playhouse and the entire cast and crew of Les Mis. Due to medical issues, which are now happily behind me, I was not able to see the show but everyone I've spoken to has had nothing but rave reviews for the production. You should all feel very proud of what you've accomplished.

As always, I want to thank the teams of actors and production staff who make our productions possible and to the countless other volunteers who work everyday of the season to make this theater run.  I also want to thank you, our patrons, for supporting us. Without you, none of this would be possible or necessary.

Thank You and  I'll see you at the theater,

Marty Andreas
