Dear Antrim Patrons,
I would like to thank everyone who came out to see Barefoot In The Park. It was a great start to our 77th season. Cudos to Melinda Pinto, Sharon Gordon, Kim Farewell, Peggy Bruner and the entire cast and crew for bringing us such a wonderful production.
Due to unforeseen issues we are forced to cancel our production of The Mousetrap that was scheduled to open on November 1st. Our next production will be A Streetcar Named Desire opening on Friday January 17, 2014. Season subscribers should call our reservation line at 845-354-9503 to select a redemption option for their Mousetrap season tickets. I and the board of directors apologize for this and hope you will all come to see the remaining shows in our season.
I neglected to mention in last month's newsletter that in addition to partnering with the Helen Hayes Youth Theater we also host the July production for the Youth Summer Camp run by Bette Glenn. Bette has been doing her shows at Antrim for over 20 years and it is a pleasure to share our theater with her wonderful staff and students. Bette's camp is very unique in that each show is an original written by her and her students and incorporates whatever set we have up into the production. I look forward to working with both of these fine youth theater groups for many years to come.
Our Return The F.A.V.O.R. program which offers discounted ticket prices to active service men and women and veterans, is off to a great start. During our run of Barefoot In The Park over 25 patrons took advantage of the program. Antrim thanks them all for their service.
As always, I want to thank the teams of actors and production staff who make our productions possible and to the countless other volunteers who work everyday of the season to make this theater run.
I also want to thank you, our patrons, for supporting us. Without you, none of this would be possible or necessary.
