Dear Antrim Patrons,

I would like to welcome everyone to the start of our 77th Incredible Season. Last season proved a very successful one for us and I'm hoping this season tops that. Even though Antrim is not offering a musical for this year only I think you will find the 5 productions we have planned for you will more than make up for it. We are focusing this year on shoring up our financial reserves so next season we can once again present the "broadway quality" musical you have come to expect from us.

As you know, we have partnered with the Helen Hayes Youth Theater, a local theater group specializing in teaching young people the art of theater. This wonderful company has proven to be an excellent complement for us as it brings the gift of youth to our theater and opens our doors to many new patrons, actors and technical staff. I look forward to working with them again this year and for many years to come. Stay tuned to our website at www.antrimplayhouse.com for exciting news about our plans for a mult-generational musical during the December holiday season.

We have adopted a few changes to our policies that I would like to tell you about. Beginning this season we are offering priority seating to our subscribers as a way of thanking them for their support. Subscribers will be admitted to the theater 45 minutes before curtain for all productions. The doors will open for all other patrons 30 minutes before curtain. To show our support for our friends in the armed forces we have joined an organization called Return The Favor and are offering a discount to all active service men and women and veterans. Just show your military id or Return The Favor membership card at the box office and your ticket will only cost $15. This is our way of saying thank you for your service. Also, for the first time in over 5 years we have raised our ticket prices by $2. Plays will now be $22 for adults, $20 for those 62 and over and $15 for students 22 and under. This will enable us to continue bringing you the very best in community theater.

There are still annual subscriptions available for our 77th Incredible Season. Please click  the link below to purchase online or to print the form and mail in your applications.

I have always believed that all the community theaters in our area should work together to continue to improve the quality of the shows we produce. There are more than enough theatergoers in our area to keep us all thriving and we should make every effort to keep our patrons informed of what is available to them. For the past 3 years Larry Bekerle, the president of the The Elmwood Playhouse, and I have been working together to do just that. We have shared our successes and failures in an effort to learn from each other and to make each of our theaters better.  It has proven to be a very valuable relationship as we now share props, furniture, rehearsal space, actors, directors, technical staff and, most important of all, knowledge. I have included the new Elmwood season in this newsletter and hope that all of our Antrim patrons, after seeing our shows, will go see the great productions scheduled there. Elmwood is a wonderful theater with dedicated and caring people and I am proud to work with them to  make Rockland County the theatrical jewel of the tri-state area.

As always, I want to thank the teams of actors and production staff who make our productions possible and to the countless other volunteers who work everyday of the season to make this theater run.  I also want to thank you, our patrons, for supporting us. Without you, none of this would be possible or necessary.

Thank You and  I'll see you at the theater,

Marty Andreas
