World Premiere: 350.org's New Climate Documentary
"Do the Math: The Movie"
The "Do the Math" documentary is a 42-minute film about the rising movement to change the scary math of the climate crisis and challenge the fossil fuel industry. On Sunday, April 21, at 7 pm, there will be simultaneous screenings at hundreds of venues, large and small, around the country. Following the screening will be a live-streamed panel with climate leaders. Let's maximize Kentuckiana viewing! Here's how:
1. Attend a "public" event. So far there is only one public event registered on http://350.org/math in our area, in northeast Louisville. You can RSVP for it here.
2. Attend a "private" event. So far, there are two known "private events" scheduled in the area, one in Hikes Point and one in the "seminary district." These events do not show up on the web site. So send us an Email with your contact info, and we'll put you in touch with the host.
3. Host your own event! It's very easy with proper equipment. Go to http://350.org/math to register an event. You can cap the number of attendees, and you can make the event "private." But I encourage you "be bold" and make it public. The connections and community you can build by such a move are richly rewarding.
4. If you register a "private" event, please let us know so that we can help maximize the number of attendees.
What better way to celebrate "Earth Day Eve!"
