It is not easy to understand there are no mistakes in this painting process. There is nothing you can do wrong. There is no good/bad, ugly/pretty. Why is that so? Because it is not about product. It is not even about the painting. It is about you and your opening up to life moving through you. It requires a listening to what wants to express itself. Feelings emerge from joy, to finally expressing oneself, to fear of not knowing how. It doesn't matter. We all have different rhythms when we hit a block to our creativity. What matters is that we move past it.

That is what this process is for. Your happiness does not depend on a good painting but that you are painting: can you be playful and curious? Can you not have to know what will emerge in the painting? Can you let go of the story or fixed image of how it should look inside your head?

You are being asked to find a new way out of your habit of wanting/seeing things. Where has your energy become compromised due to conditioning? What if you could live your full potential?
