We stand in front of a painting and don't know how to continue. "What should I paint now? I painted what I wanted. I must be finished." How often do we believe we are finished if "there is nothing else to paint"?

Can you entertain the thought that there may be much more to paint? Creative movement does not stop. It is just our thoughts that take over. And why?

Because we want to be in control.

We have learned to stop our spontaneous movement in order to adapt to our environment.  And now we feel the effect: we are unhappy; something is missing, there is no passion. We so desire to express ourselves but when we stand in front of the canvas, nothing comes. We feel stifled, stuck, frustrated, impatient or angry . We come up against ourselves from years of conditioning telling us what to do and what is right. Do you question these thoughts and beliefs?

Painting from the Inside Out provides a framework to do this. Again, standing in front of the paper we come right up against ourselves. The mind formulates the statement: "I am finished" to relieve us of asking more of ourselves.

What if you weren't finished? What if anything could happen on the paper? What if you didn't have to worry about how it looks or the outcome?

These are only a few questions that give us permission to open to a much bigger part of ourselves; to surprise ourselves; to allow the flow of life to move through us again.
