Dear Friend,

I don't know about you but I feel time is moving fast and at a higher frequency. Technology allows us to be in several places at once. Everything is at our fingertips- just a button away. We may feel more connected- yet what is the price we pay?

What is the price?

Painting from the Inside Out is a call to come back to ourselves and look at what is not being attended to.

It is you.

When a student asks me: What's the point?": "if I am not learning how to paint, or if I am not going home with something to show, what's the point?" All I can say is:

You are the Point!

You are important enough. You have permission to be with your self and play with paint and color! This may sound selfish, but it is not.

We have confused selfishness with self-love. We have neglected our attention to self out of fear of selfishness. When someone stands in self-love, it is palpable. Love of self includes spaciousness to hold the other; it is not about separateness.

So let's look at what we are not feeling, not saying, and not doing.

Let's take that time to paint and come back to ourselves!
