Go, Team, Go!
Teams are a vital part of business. Vince Lombardi said, "Individual commitment to a group effort- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." The best teams produce a better product (or result) than any single individual would achieve. Here are some ideas that can foster greatness from your team:
   Diversity:
To maximize the skills of the team, individual members should have different specialties and skills. Think of
a football team. Entire teams can serve different purposes just like the offensive and defensive lines.
GoalsA team needs a reason for being, and that reason is accomplishing goals.
Commitment: All members should agree upon and commit to a regular meeting schedule, and everyone must remain involved.
Trust: Build trust with new members by emphasizing the shared goal and making each player's role clear in achieving it.
Embrace change: As people grow or gain knowledge, they may no longer work well on a particular team, while a new member may have something fresh to offer. No one wants to break up something that works, but sometimes embracing change in the interest of new ideas can have long-term value.

Be Good to Your Heart as You Age

As you get older, you are sure to recognize how hard your heart works for you. This Valentine's Day, think about your heart health and show your heart some tender loving care with
these simple tips.

Get moving.
As you age, you may feel the tendency to slow down, but be sure to get some exercise each day. One fun activity for Valentine's Day is to dance with your sweetheart. Even just taking a romantic walk can get you some good exercise.

Do your favorite thing.
Make time for your favorite hobby or activity. Keeping your body and mind active can lead to a longer life. Quiet activities like knitting, painting, yoga, or praying help slow down your heart and can lower your blood pressure, which are good for your heart and your whole body.

Give something up.
If you smoke, don't think it is too late to quit. Quitting smoking at any age has demonstrated benefits for your heart and your general well being. Find a support group and talk to your doctor about medications that can help increase your chances of
kicking the habit.

Feed your heart well.
Finally, be sure to get the most out of your diet. You will have lots of sweet treats for Valentine's Day, but don't forget to eat some fruits and vegetables too. Go easy on the chocolate and load up on blueberries or strawberries to increase your intake of
heart-healthy antioxidants.
