A Holy, Holy Week and Easter
Greetings and peace to all of you who read our emails: My greatest hope for all of us is that we find a way to slow down and absorb the significance of what it means to walk through the week when we mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Bishop Jeff Lee recently shared some thoughts and questions for us to ponder: - Love is not a feeling. It is a decision.
- Living hurts.
- Holy Week and Easter are about those who witnessed the events.
- It is a story about what happened to his friends.
- It is a story about what happened and happens for us.
- It is about moving from observing the Risen Christ to encountering the Risen Christ.
- What does Jesus want to do for you?
- When have you encountered the dying and rising Jesus?
On behalf of Grace Church, I invite you to enter into a holy - Holy Week and Easter. Peace,
Shawn

A total of $256 has been collected for The United Thank Offering. If you have not yet contributed, but would like to, there is still time. Douglas will be sending the total received to the UTO the week after Easter. Please mark your calendar to make a donation, send a check when you pay your regular bills, or sit down right now and do it. Think about all those things for which you are so very thankful. UTO envelopes can still be found at the back of the church for the plate on Sunday. Or you can send your check made payable to the UTO to the parish office. Know that every penny you contribute will be well spent on those who need it most.

The End Is Where We Begin
|
"It always seems too early, until it is too late."
Have you ever found yourself in a stressful health care situation? Have you ever wondered about the difference between a "Living Will" and a "Health Care Power of Attorney?" Have you ever wished for a little encouragement to tackle the conversation about end-of-life care in your family or your community? If so, Bishop Anderson House invites you to The End Is Where We Begin, a free workshop on April 16 that coincides with National Healthcare Decisions Day.
This workshop will prepare you to face stressful health care decisions with clarity and confidence. The first hour of the workshop will feature powerful storytelling and clear information about the various types of advance directives. In the second hour, you choose interactive stations where you can play games, learn more, and take action.
The End Is Where We Begin will be held at St. James Commons, 65 E. Huron, on Saturday, April 16, from 10am-12pm. Free food, hot and refreshing drinks. Attendance is free, but space is limited. Register by emailing pgoodenough@bishopandersonhouse.org.
