For the past decade, GateWay Athletics has helped develop a new generation of athletes. Many of these athletes have not only taken advantage of scholarship opportunities while they play at GateWay Community College, but have also benefited from these opportunities by signing onto Major League Baseball (MLB) teams or transferring to four year universities. When she came to the United States as an exchange student at the age of 16, Dajana (pronounced Diana) Zlaticanin, originally from Montenegro, had major culture shock. A few years later this GateWay Community College student is still in shock, but for something she achieved. Veteran Shares His Story

Jack Hampsey joined the U.S. Air Force in 2001 and has seen much of the Middle East on his four tours of active duty - one tour each in Qatar and Kuwait and two in Iraq. He is one of more than 100 veterans attending GateWay Community College who is taking advantage of the GI Bill. Read his story

Career Exploration Day
Event held on campus

Over 400 teens from high schools across the Valley descended on GateWay Community College on Nov 1. These teens were not participating in a flash mob, rather, they were visiting the college to learn more about potential career paths. Read more.

International Education Week
Bringing cultures together through knowledge

During the second week of November, the GateWay community gathered to celebrate International Education Week by hosting a variety of events on campus.
