Te-DOM! New Year's Eve Special: 25% off! 2003 DOM PERIGNON BRUT Reg. $189; Spec. $140 net!
Needing no introduction, Dom Perignon is the prestigious vintage bottling from the "big house" champagne producer Moet & Chandon. But what sets this vintage cuvee apart from its big house brethren is the bold approach of Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. In bottling a wine from an abnormally warm year, Geoffroy created a big, powerful, vintage brut, as well as a bold statement that will continue to set Dom Perignon apart as a legend in luxury, quality and distinction.
"The 2003 Moet Chandon Dom Perignon is an atypically, rich, powerful, vinous Dom Perignon loaded with fruit, structure and personality. 94+ pts." -- Wine Advocate |
2013 will need all the help it can get -- start out on the right brut with 2003 Dom Perignon at 25% off! AVAILABLE IN BOTH STORES.

EGLY-OURIET CHAMPAGNE
Luxury "Grower" Champagne
 | Francis Egly
|
A signature producer for our store over the last ten years, EGLY-OURIET's star continues to rise. The market demand for this outstanding Grand Cru "grower" champagne increases every year, making it ever more rare and exceptional. We are thrilled to present the new releases of these Grand Cru champagnes from one of the premier independent wineries in the region.
Quantities are very limited.
"Egly-Ouriet is one of my favorite grower-producers." -- Eric Asimov, NY Times
2002 EGLY-OURIET Millesime Grand Cru $185
To give you a sense of the extraordinary nature of this vintage brut, the 2002 Millesime Grand Cru was released one year after the 2003 vintage! Francis Egly knew there was something special about this 2002 vintage that required prolonged elevage in order to realize its ultimate potential. This release had an additional two years of cellaring prior to disgorgement, resulting in nine years aging on the fine lees! This spectacular wine is a must-have for the champagne connoisseur.
SOLD OUT! EGLY-OURIET NV Brut "Les Vignes de Vrigny" $65 "Although Egly-Ouriet is best known for its blanc de noirs made entirely of pinot noir, its most unusual Champagne may be a blanc de noirs of pinot meunier, made from several parcels of old vines near the Village of Vrigny in the Montagne de Reims." -- Eric Asimov, NY Times
Single vineyard of 100% Pinot Meunier, aged 36 mos. on the lees. Lush and vibrant fresh fruit, a powerful and richly fruited champagne. I always think of the flavor of biting into a fresh, crisp, tart green apple, like a Pippin, meant to be enjoyed in it's youth.
SOLD OUT! NV EGLY-OURIET Brut "Tradition" Grand Cru $80 The epitome of the Egly house style. Extended aging on the fine lees, pristine Grand Cru fruit (70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay) showing off the singular terroirs of Ambonnay and Bouzy. Delicious upon release but easily able to age for several years plus. The superior quality of this Champagne, for me, has always put it on a pedestal for NV Bruts. SOLD OUT! NV EGLY-OURIET Brut Rose' Grand Cru $110 1.5L $275 My favorite rose' champagne, maybe my favorite champagne; it would be hard to think of a better "last bottle" of wine. The cut and laser-like precision, the complexity of fruit, strong mineral foundation, and vibrant 'Chablis-like' acidity make this a stellar compliment with food. Went beautifully with Eric Ripert's last four savory courses at Le Bernadin! 1999 EGLY-OURIET Millesime Grand Cru 1.5L $400 Magnums of thirteen year old Grand Cru Champagne freshly released from the cellars of one of the finest wineries in all of France?? to good to be true......maybe....but we don't have to ask why, we only have to feel lucky that we have the opportunity to possibly drink this amazing Champagne, with a debt of gratitude to Francis Egly for saving some for us. Available only in magnum format. |

The Tradition is an accessible, tasty Champagne to drink now." --WA CHARTOGNE-TAILLET Brut "Ste-Anne" $50 47% Pinot Noir, 39% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier "Chartogne-Taillet Champagnes are gorgeous, transparent and focused. Brut Cuvee Sainte Anne is an attractive entry-level offering with good mid-palate richness and excellent overall balance. The significant presence of red grapes gives the wine its expansive, broad shouldered frame."--WA PIERRE PETERS "Cuvee de Reserve" Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs $60 100% chardonnay. "The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Cuvee de Reserve is a gorgeous wine that captures the essence of Chardonnay in the Cote des Blancs. Pure, wiry and wonderfully expressive, the Cuvee de Reserve flows gracefully with layers of varietal fruit from start to finish. This shows superb clarity, depth and polish, particularly at the NV level. 92 pts." --WA A. MARGAINE Brut "Traditionelle" $55 90% chardonnay; 10% pinot noir. "Brut Cuvee Traditionelle shows fabulous intensity and sheer class. Citrus, flowers and crushed rock are some of the nuances that emerge from this beautifully delineated Champagne. A gorgeous, ethereal finish rounds things out in style. 92 pts." - WA A. MARGAINE Brut Rose $60 78% chardonnay, 12% pinot noir. "Rose petals, crushed flowers, red berries and spices are some of the many nuances that wrap around the finish." -WA

Eric Asimov, NY Times wine critic, shares tips for the holidays
