Freedom

I hope you will join us Sunday as we celebrate our freedom as a nation and the freedom we have when we chose to follow Christ.

The American Fallen Soldiers Project will have a special part in our service on Sunday. Their mission is to honor, respect and forever memorialize the American military servicemen who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation, comfort their mourning families, and inspire all Americans to know and recognize the price paid for their freedom. Artist Phil Taylor will present a local family with an original portrait of their fallen loved one in our service.

Also on Sunday we will enjoy a special musical presentation by the CCFW music department and I will be back in the pulpit after a month long sabbatical.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday, July 6th at 10:30 am.

This Sunday we celebrate freedom with a special service at 10:30 am. The American Fallen Soldiers Project will be making a special presentation. There will be special music from our creative arts department and Pastor Darius Johnston will be ministering. You will not want to miss this service! Invite your family and friends to join you for this Sunday.

This week our "Basic Training" is about expressing our love to God through worship. Children will learn that worship isn't just about singing a song, it's about God's children showing their love to their Heavenly Father. We can do many things like kneel, close your eyes, raise your hands, or stand to worship. The important thing is not HOW we worship, it's THAT we worship.

What Do I Look Like?

Our focus this week will be to teach the child that God gave her special features and characteristics.

Our Bible verse: "I am...wonderfully made." Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

Our action verse:

God made me, and God made you.

I am special, and you are too.

There are lots of boys and girls, you see.

But there is nobody that's just like me!

Unit 2: God is with Noah

Our focus this week is for the child to be able to tell that Noah obeyed God and built an ark.

Bible verse: "Noah did everything...God commanded him." Genesis 6:22 (NIV)

Life Application: Help: To encourage the child that God will help him obey.
