We're here to serve you. The pastor, youth director, volunteer, Sunday school teacher, Confirmation leader, parent, really anyone who is mentoring children, youth and young adults in faith. When God called his young disciple Timothy, God gave him Paul as a faith mentor, to accompany Timothy as he matured in faith. Similarly, God has placed you in the lives of young people as a faith mentor, teacher and guide. We hope this e-news will be a resource you will turn to for information and guidance as you nurture the faith of young people and families. |

NEW Web Resource Sharing Database:
Best Practices: NUGGETS
The Office for Children, Youth & Family Ministry in partnership with the synod Learning Ministries Team, is proud to announce a NEW web resource sharing database called "Best Practices: NUGGETS"
These are field-tested programming ideas that have been used in congregational small group or youth group settings. However, each "nugget" has been designed and written in a way that you could try them in your congregation's youth group or ministry setting or give them to a family to try out in the FAMILY HOME! Yep, these are resources that could also be used in family faith formation settings as well as in the congregation.
Simply visit the Children, Youth & Family Ministry pages of the synod website, and click on the "Nuggets" prompt, or share the link with parents looking for resources to use at home. All resources are offered in pdf file format, that are easily printed or shared electronically.
There are currently two "nuggets" available, but more will be added. If you have a "nugget" to offer, please forward it to the Office for CYFM, at croberts@lss-elca.org.
