Summer Leadership Academy Offered
"Serve-Lead-Live" July 20-27, 2013
If you had a young leader in your congregation who could benefit from some intentional leadership development in a Lutheran Christian setting, where their gifts would be celebrated, wouldn't you want to give them that opportunity? Of course! Then check out TEY's (Theological Education with Youth) Summer Leadership Academy, at: TEY's Summer Leadership Academy.
Under the leadership of youth ministry veteran, Christian educator and rostered Asssociate in Ministry, Chelle Huth, TEY continues a heritage of helping young leaders discern God's call to them in the world, while equipping them for Christian service to God and others. Along with the website listed above, you can inquire more directly to Chelle, at chuth@ltsg.edu.
Youth currently in grades 9 or 10, qualify for this particular program that is held on the Gettysburg Seminary campus. Summer Theological Academy
'Why Are We Lutheran?" July 20-27, 2013
Similar to it's sister ministry program, the Leadership Academy, mentioned to the left, this offering is provided for young leaders in this case, who are looking to explore more deeply what it means to be Lutheran Christian in our current culture and world. Details for this course can be found at: TEY Summer Theological Academy
Not only will participants explore the BIG questions of life in a safe environment with peers and ministry leaders, but will intentionally explore whether they might be feeling a call to service in the church as well as the world. Seminary professors and ministry professionals will help the 25 or so participants explore vocational calling, and how God may be at work in their lives.
Youth in grades 10, 11 & 12, are all welcome to consider this ministry training, also held on the Gettysburg Seminary campus. Registration must also be accompanied by a recommendation and a non-refundable $50 deposit. Scholarship monies are also available for this event tuition of $450.
TEY is a shared ministry of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (LTSP), and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (LTSG). |
