We're here to serve you. The pastor, youth director, volunteer, Sunday school teacher, Confirmation leader, parent, really anyone who is mentoring children, youth and young adults in faith. When God called his young disciple Timothy, God gave him Paul as a faith mentor, to accompany Timothy as he matured in faith. Similarly, God has placed you in the lives of young people as a faith mentor, teacher and guide. We hope this e-news will be a resource you will turn to for information and guidance as you nurture the faith of young people and families. |

Sacred Space
Many of us serving in ministry could use a little more spiritual nurture of our own. I'd like to recommend my friends at SacredSpace.
SacredSpace is made up of spiritual friends who journeyed together during their training to become Spiritual Directors. They each bring their own gifts and skills to walk with you on your journey. All of our Directors are trained and certified through Stillpoint: The Center for Christian Spirituality in Pasadena, CA. They are all members of Spiritual Directors International and subscribe to their ethical standards and practice. Try their website or visit them on Facebook.

"A Hunt into History" to support Malaria Initiative This synod's Malaria Task Force, committed to help raise awareness and funds to eradicate Malaria in central and sub-Saharan Africa, are hosting a scavenger hunt on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
The "hunt" includes a number of historic battle sites in Gettysburg, and will culminate in a guided tour of the NEW Seminary Ridge Museum on the campus of Gettysburg Seminary. Congregations are encouraged to enter a team of (5) five multi-generational participants, who will also get a lunch meal, and enjoy live music and fellowship on the lawn at the conclusion of the hunt. A color flyer is attached, and registration forms will be available soon at the synod website. |
