Going Global
Be a "Yes" to others!
The Epiphany season celebrates Jesus as the Light to the nations, beginning with the celebration of the magi, wise men from afar who followed the star to find the Christ child. Many of us use this season to focus on how the Light of the world is relected in and through our global work. Read the story of a new ELCA missionary in the Central African Republic...

Congregation: St. Michael Evangelical Lutheran Church, Strasburg
Position: Organist/Music Director
Posted: 1/2/13
St. Michael Lutheran Church, 40 East Main Street, Strasburg, seeks an organist for one Sunday service per week. The position is open January 1, 2013. Familiarity with a liturgical service is preferred, but worship services are somewhat informal. The congregation of St. Michael will welcome and warmly support a talented musician who is also a person of faith committed to working with a dedicated congregation. Preference will be given to someone who can also lead a small adult choir. The instrument is a 26 rank, three manual and pedal Moller/Estey organ incorporating 1,593 pipes. The instrument was built almost entirely by the members of St. Michael from parts of three older used instruments. The organ has recently undergone renovation, including the installation of a new console. Worship attendance is 30-40 per Sunday service. For more information contact the church office at 717-687-8211 or Pastor Vaughn Glover at vglover321@verizon.net |
