Around Our Synod

InstallationInstallation Service Scheduled 

The Rev. Mary Anne Kingsborough will be installed as pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church, Sunday, October 21, at 4:00 PM.  The Rev. Janyce Jorgensen will preach and the Rev. Mark Kopp, dean of the Lancaster Conference, will install Pastor Kingsborough.  Clergy are invited to vest and process.  The color for the day is green.  A meal will follow the service and all are invited!  The church is located at 3825 Concordia Road, Columbia, PA.

A Service of Prayer and Remembrance for Pastor Robert Knight will be held at Grace Lutheran Church (Two Taverns), Sunday, October 21, at 4:00 PM.  This service will be led by the bishop's office, the Rev. Stephen Herr, dean of the Gettysburg Conference, and the Rev. John Largen, interim pastor of Grace Lutheran Parish.

QuickelChurch Marks 250 Years

Quickel Lutheran Church launched a year-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of the congregation on Sunday, October 14.  Fourteen individuals who were baptized or confirmed members of the congregation for 75 years (or more!) were honored that day.  Anniversary celebrations are planned throughout the year, including a visit from the Rev.
