The Lost Years: Bipolar Disorder Before and After Diagnosis
with Tom Roberts

Tomorrow! Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 at 9:00 am Pacific Time

Will be recorded and posted here.

Tom says achieving stability with his bipolar disorder took a very long time. He was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder II more than 20 years ago. The diagnosis came too late to save his marriage and career, as he will tell us.

Tom speaks about what he calls his "family curse" of bipolar disorder and how he transformed it from a fragmented life to one of wholeness and has lived to tell the story to give others suffering from mental illness the strength and hope for living a better life.

The Teacher's Guide to Student Mental Health

The guide has a bit of a textbook feel to it, but the writing is clear and accessible, and colorful vignettes provide miniature case studies.

  My Friend Bipolar

"My Friend Bipolar" is not a text book or guideline about bipolar disorder but a touching experience by a girl named Caroline. The poems I wrote really connect to my emotions and the narrations of the poems explain why I felt that way and what I was going through. They also show how I became friends with my disorder. These poems are written by my hands and also my tears. I hope readers can find hope and comfort through my book "My Friend Bipolar".
