{event strategy} Marketing Tips!
Most events are hosted with the intent of achieving successful results. Strategic marketing is a key indicator of success. As you develop your plan, consider these tips:
Start Early. Give yourself time to carefully develop the guest/prospect list and design, edit and print materials.
Communicate Why. It may seem elementary but tell your guests/attendees WHY they need to invest time and money to participate in your event.
Broaden Your Promotions. Depending on the type of event, use a variety of promotional tools to ensure that your audience learns about the event. Consider mail, email, social media, newsletters, ads, partner letters, etc. to spread the word.
Follow up. As soon as the event ends, follow up with your guests. Thank them for their time and ask for feedback. Guests will appreciate the extra effort and their feedback will help plan future events.
Measure Results. Evaluate the data to determine what worked and what can be improved ... again, for future planning!

{real party} Warm Wishes with Crazy Socks!
An ice skating birthday party at the local rink could be kind of 'blah, blah, blah' ... unless you shop at Target. Seriously, Target is one of my favorite event planning secrets! For my daughter's 9th birthday party, I ordered these cute "zebra print and crazy socks" invitations on etsy. To complement the design, I bought coordinating party napkins and table coverings for pennies on clearance at Target. Adorable! As friends left the party, there were squeals of delight (from parents, too). Goodie bags filled with crazy socks, hot chocolate packets and Icebreaker candy were handed out; see photo above. No plastic trinkets to be broken or lost; just practical colorful knee-hi socks ... tucked inside a small gift bag (also for pennies at Target), which was embellished with a matching "Warm Wishes" gift tag. Want to save pennies when planning your next party? Just contact me! I love creative challenges.
