Tired of the same old resolutions that don't stick beyond 2 weeks?  Then, resolve to improve your events - make them more meaningful, valuable, successful and fun!  Below are five resolutions to inspire you:

Resolve to tell a story. There's a reason why you're hosting an event ... so tell it before, during and after the event. Done properly, your story will create an emotional connection with participants, who will want more ... to do more, give more, to buy more, you get it!

Resolve to give back. [My favorite!] Incorporate a charitable element to your event and attract stronger support to your mission while contributing to the well-being of your community. 

Resolve to engage attendees.  Guests have two options at an event - attend or participate.  Encourage the latter by creating interactions - with leadership, products, programs - and watch your guests become loyal supporters!

Resolve to work smarter, not harder.  Set your event up for success with one initial task - establish goals and objectives.  They will be you guiding light in developing the rest of the plan, making tough decisions and curbing expenses.

Resolve to change one element.  Especially good guidance for annual events ... make one change - venue, emcee, menu, entertainment or theme - to keep the program fresh and exciting!
