Greetings!,

Thank you to everyone who supported ACS at this year's Spring Sounds!  We had a wonderful time but more importantly - your support helped us raise over $143,000 for ACS' valuable community programs.  Special thanks to Judy Kleinberg and the Knight Foundation for their generous matching grant of $20,000.

Our fiscal year comes to a close on June 30th and we need your help to meet our fundraising goal!  As a nonprofit organization, we have to raise $825,000 in order to provide free and affordable counseling services to the Silicon Valley community.  A gift of just $20 provides a valuable scholarship to a teen who cannot otherwise afford a counseling session in our After-School Counseling Program.  Please make a gift today and join ACS in helping teenagers find their way!

Sincerely,

Documentary Film Preview in Menlo Park
The Anonymous People, a powerful new documentary that tells the uplifting story of people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, will be shown at Menlo-Atherton High School's Center for the Performing Arts (PAC) on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are free and are available here

The film's producer, Greg Williams, is 10 years into recovery himself and will be present at the screening.  To watch a preview of The Anonymous People, check out this video.

This exclusive West Coast screening is a collaboration between the M-A Parent Education Series, DD McFarlane, the Esther Ting Foundation, and Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) to expand our community's knowledge and understanding about addiction and recovery.  McFarlane was featured in InMenlo for her leadership in bringing the screening to Menlo Park.

The event is sponsored by the Esther Ting Foundation, in support of Esther's Pledge, a commitment to help teens and families fight addiction.

Those facing addiction in a loved one need information quickly.
The Learning Curve, a new listing of resources to consider, will be offered at the event and is available in electronic format.  In addition, ACS offers Esther's Pledge Workshops to help teens and families learn about substance abuse and resources available to fight addiction.  The workshops are free for parents and teens and cover warning signs, education, how to talk to your kids, and steps for getting help.

To attend a workshop, email info@acs-teens.org or call (650) 424-0852 ext. 200.  For a confidential conversation with a licensed counselor about substance abuse information, resources, and referrals, call the Substance Abuse Information Line (SAIL) at (650) 384-3094.  SAIL is available Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Donate By June 30th To Help Local Teens!
Adolescent Counseling Services' (ACS) fiscal year comes to a close on June 30, 2013.  Help ACS meet its fundraising goal by making a gift today

Funds raised support ACS' three programs: the On-Campus Counseling Program, the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program, and the After-School Counseling Program.  We are $69,000 away from our goal and need your help to ensure that local teens continue to have access to free and affordable counseling services.

Join us today in supporting ACS by making a gift of any size by June 30, 2013. Thank you!
