Thursday, Dec. 19

Opening Day is Tomorrow.

Are you Ready?
We've got an inch of fresh snow on the ground and smiles on our faces as we make the final preparations to open our season tomorrow, Friday, December 20th. A thin cover in the base area has driven us to change a few things, and we want our guests to know what to expect on opening day:

Here's what will be different than usual on Opening Day:

Number of Lifts Operating: We plan to run three of our five lifts Friday: the BlueBird Quad, Centennial Triple Chair and Easy Street. Lakeview and the Bear Chair will not operate Friday. Hidden Valley is closed for your safety.

Number of Runs Groomed: Upper mountain runs are groomed and in great shape. Grooming is limited on the lower reaches of the mountain, but Easy Street IS groomed for our beginner crowd.

Lower Mountain Access:
The only runs that have been groomed top-to-bottom are Engen, 45th Parallel & Temptation. Please keep that in mind if you are bringing novice skiers to the summit. Temptation is a green run but it is more than 2 miles long, so make sure your ski buddies are prepared for that.

You can find more details on the grooming and slope conditions

Lift Ticket Prices: Opening Day visitors will be treated to discount pricing - just $36 for an all-mountain Adult lift ticket. You can buy an Easy Street only ticket for $15.

Here's what will be the same:

All regular services will be available.

Guest Services, Ticket Windows, Rental and Retail Shops, Daycare and the Snowsports School will be open. Please feel free to call ahead if you have questions: 208-634-4151.

All base area food & beverage outlets will be open.

Smoky's Bar & Grill, the SideStash Cafe and our newly-improved Main Street Market & Eatery (on the third floor) will be open daily.

We're offering FREE coffee in the SideStash Cafe on opening day and great new combos in the Main Street Market & Eatery all season long - details are below.

Please note: we expect to open the Bears Den daily starting December 26. You can learn more about all of our Dining Options here.
The Forecast is Looking Good!
The experts tell us we should have a snowy opening day, with 6 to 12 inches of fresh snow possible by Saturday morning.

We're hoping that will allow us to open more terrain and an additional lift by Saturday, but it's too soon to tell at this point. We'll add updates to the Snow Report as soon as possible.

We DO expect to have enough snow for the Torchlight parade to happen on Saturday night. Just one more reason to join us for our Light Up the Night celebration!
Introducing:
The Main Street Market & Eatery

Rounding out your Food & Beverage experience

First, there was the mid-mountain Bears Den. Then, we opened our first full-service restaurant with Smoky's Bar & Grill. Last season, we added the SideStash Cafe...

NOW, the Main Street Market & Eatery has replaced our third-floor cafeteria to complete the evolution of our food & beverage program. Delicious grab-and-go options, a more convenient way to get those classic grill favorites, AND combo meals for every member of the family.

We're just days away from our annual festival of flair, and we've got more than ever to be excited about this year.

In addition to the traditional Torchlight Parade and Fireworks show, SANTA HIMSELF will be here to light the Brundage Christmas Tree and greet the kids around the bonfire THIS SATURDAY, December 21.

We also expect this year's sit-down dinner to be the best ever. Diners will be entertained by the musical stylings of Jeff Crosby and the Refugees two piece ensemble. We've also put together our tastiest menu yet. But, be sure to buy your dinner tickets now because they won't last long. Get ALL the Details Here.
