Rethink Varicose Veins Campaign Featured on National TV
Olympian Summer Sanders, spokesperson for the Rethink Varicose Veins campaign, was recently featured on the Marie Osmond Show, which aired nationally on Feb. 20 on the Hallmark Channel. During the seven minute segment,  Summer spoke on the issue of varicose veins, CVI and the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment.  SVS, the American Venous Forum, and the American College of Phlebology began the campaign in 2011 to elevate public awareness of varicose veins as a health concern worthy of medical diagnosis and treatment. Designed to educate consumers and engage healthcare professionals, this campaign provides materials and resources about varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency to encourage awareness and action.
Vascular Annual Meeting
Registration opens March 5 for the Vascular Annual Meeting®, to be held May 30-June 1 in San Francisco. Almost 500 abstracts were submitted for the meeting, with 197 selected for presentation. Late-breaking clinical trial abstracts can be submitted until March 15 so submit an abstract today. Check out the schedule-at-a-glance and plan to attend the premier educational event for vascular health professionals.

Coding and Reimbursement Course

VRIC to be Held April 30
Register today for the Vascular Research Initiatives Conference, Emerging Concepts of Vascular Physiology and Therapy. Designed to encourage interaction and collaboration between vascular surgeon investigators and scientists from other vascular biology-related disciplines, this year VRIC is offering a special session, How to Put Together a Stem Cell Program for Therapeutic Angiogenesis: Challenges and Pitfalls. VRIC will be held on April 30 in Orlando, Florida.
