At the 2013 Vascular Annual Meeting® , a new session will be offered, the International Forum. It will be held as a concurrent session on Wednesday at 5:00 pm, May 29, 2013. International authors are encouraged to consider this opportunity and submit an abstract by the Jan. 3, 2013 deadline.
Cast Ballot for Nominating Committee Member
Voting is now open for the at-large position on the 2013 Nominating Committee. Thirteen SVS members have been nominated to serve in this role; the nominee obtaining the highest number of votes shall serve so vote by Dec. 7.
Seminars Editor Needed
SVS is seeking applications for Editor-in-Chief for Seminars in Vascular Surgery. Responsibilities include developing thematic issues, reviewing submissions prior to acceptance, and assuring a scientifically excellent and intellectually stimulating publication. A modest annual honorarium is provided. Previous editorial experience and/or publication in Seminars are essential. A growing focus on the electronic edition of the journal and its possibilities is also strongly encouraged. SVS Recruiting Coding and Reimbursement Leadership Trainee
SVS is seeking applicants for a "trainee" position to work with SVS socioeconomic leadership on coding and reimbursement issues. This position will focus on the CPT code creation process. The trainee position is expected to last three years. The time commitment will require 10 to 20 hours of work per month, conference calls, and at least three 2 to 3 day meetings per year. A modest honorarium will be offered in addition to reimbursement of routine travel expenses.
