Greetings!

While the most celebrated Stout Day of the year isn't until March 17, there is no time like the present to begin thinking about and brewing delicious stouts.

Stouts base their origins in the Porter family, and generally exemplify the use of dark caramel and roasted malts. These beers can run the gamut of low alcohol content around 3.5% to an imperial class that can run as high as 12+%.

Stouts fall into one of six categories - Dry Stout, Sweet Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Foreign Extra Stout, American Stout, and Russian Imperial Stout. All are common, with of course the most well known being the Dry Stout in the form of Guinness.

Check out what we've got for you this week as we showcase stouts!

Cheers,

Make Your Stouts Pop With these:

Nitrogen Dispensing

Serving a stout on tap is a great way to showcase what you've brewed, but many people get bogged down that their stouts don't pour like Guinness. Why not try a Stout Faucet and Beer Gas? Beer gas is a 75% Nitrogen/25% CO2 mix that will give your beer a thick creamy head, and a rich full character similar to Guinness.

As a great side-note, you can use your existing CO2 system to dispense the beer gas - far from the myth that you can only use a nitrogen system to dispense in this manner.

To go with your Stout Faucet, why not add a Guinness Tap Handle. This tap handle is designed to work only with a stout faucet, and looks very sharp mounted over your home bar.
