St. Peter's Episcopal Church

We began this week prepared to commemorate the first anniversary of the massacre of nine people who were killed as they studied the Bible together at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston. And now, we are shattered by the massacre of fifty people in Orlando who were dancing, singing, and being carefree in one of the few places many of them felt safe to do so.

Third Sunday's Taizé Service: On Sunday, June 19 at 5:00 p.m., the Holy Eucharist is celebrated in the manner of Taizé, a monastic community in France founded in 1949, devoted to prayer and reconciliation within the church and the human family. This unique service at St. Peter's includes contemplative song, piano music, prayer, candle-lighting, touching blessed water, and times of silence.
