We seek to create and maintain a beautiful building and stunning grounds, by using our talents and contributing our efforts to the tasks that are presented to us. I have found that when one is a steward of property, that regardless if completed work is clearly observable, or if completed work is inconspicuous, all is equally valuable to the overall intended purpose.

New This Week
Lobster Dinner Fundraiser for 2017 Youth Pilgrimage. The Lobster Dinner and Silent Auction, on Saturday, June 18, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., is a fellowship and fundraising event in support of our youth program for Pilgrimage and for the Racial Reconciliation Mission Trip to Ferguson, Missouri. Dinner includes fresh steamed lobsters from Maine (one per person), baked potato, corn, bread, and key lime pie. Beverages include iced tea and lemonade, plus beer and wine for a nominal charge. (Those who prefer something other than lobster can order a Parmesan chicken breast instead.) The event also includes a silent auction featuring certificates from restaurants (Ru-San, Zen Fusion, Good Food on Montford, and more), gift stores, frame shops, Harris Teeter, etc., and several wonderful pieces of artwork, jewelry, pottery, glass, and items created by our teens. More information and pricing for this casual event is available at www.st-peters.org/rsvp. Only paid reservations can be accepted and must be made no later than Friday, June 17 at noon so that we will have a lobster for every person registered. Questions or to donate an item for the silent auction: call Director of Youth Formation Lyn Holt (704-763-3564, lholt@st-peters.org).
Saints in the Summer Offering. Saints in the Summer will be offered Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. on June 26, July 31, August 7, August 14, and August 21. Our parish family will gather for worship, followed by a meal with fun activities designed to inspire our walk with God. Time together will be inclusive of children, but not child-centric, so bring the whole household! This is a community effort, so visit www.st-peters.org/rsvp to sign up to help make a saint "come alive" by assisting the clergy with the homily and prayers; developing an activity to do over dinner; and/or preparing a simple meal. Or sign up on the bulletin board in the Parish House. Contact the clergy or formation staff with questions.
