Last Week of Group Advising
The last round of group advising will be held this week on April 8, 9 and 10. Students are required to attend a group advising session to get the advising hold removed in order to register for fall classes. If you do not attend a session this week, you will not be able to see an advisor until April 20 or later.

"Finding and Preparing for an Internship" Workshop
The Office of Multicultural Student Services is hosting a "Finding and Preparing for an Internship" workshop on Wednesday, April 8. The workshop will be held in CUB 410 at 12:10 p.m. Judy Hopkins from the ASCC will be hosting the workshop.

Olympic Media: Reflecting or Directing Society?
The College of Education and the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication are hosting Andrew Billings, Ph.D., Director of the Alabama Program in Sports Communication. The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 9, from 4-5:30 p.m. at Cleveland Hall 30E. Dr. Billings will discuss the ways in which the Olympics represent America and how the news content affects issues of identity and society. It is free and open to the public.
 
PAC-12 Television Production Student Training Program
The Pac-12 Networks is offering a student training program on April 9 from 10am-2pm at the baseball stadium. Interested students must sign up beforehand.

Cougar Networking Night
The WSU Alumni Association is hosting a Cougar Networking Night on Thursday, April 16, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lewis Alumni Centre. This opportunity is free but it is requested that you register beforehand.
SCHOLARSHIPS, INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS
Scholarships
PRSA Puget Sound is offering two scholarships of $3,500 each to students entering their junior or senior years and are pursuing careers in public relations. Applications are due by April 17.

 

Internships
The Experience Music Project (EMP) in Seattle is looking for a social media intern.

MACK Athletics, specifically the Kitsap BlueJackets, are looking to hire an intern to project live video feeds for the first time.

The Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture is looking to hire interns who can assist with a variety of communications activities, including: news writing, social media, web site management/development, graphic design, and photography.
