Welcome to the re-launch of the GHI Matters eNewsletter! As you may have noticed this past month, GHI has been very busy renovating its online presence with a new website, new social media channels, and now the updated e-newsletter. As I mentioned in my initial GHI Blog post, as GHI's structure and programs have expanded in the last seven years, so has our need for a website and other communications tools like GHI Matters that can grow and evolve with us. If you haven't already, I invite you to visit the website and link up with GHI via social media!

As always, we encourage you to contribute via email your GHI-related news and calendar listings for inclusion in upcoming e-newsletters and announcements. Please download the GHI Website and eNews Submission Guidelines (.pdf) for details.

On behalf of the GHI Board, I do hope that we will have the opportunity to meet at one of this year's scientific conferences. GHI is currently organizing several general meetings, as well as special sessions that will take place throughout 2016 in conjunction with leading food science and technology organization meetings. We hope to introduce workshop opportunities for GHI Working Groups by the end of the year, so stay tuned!

Kind regards,

Huub Lelieveld
 President, GHI
GHI Launches New Website

On 6 June, GHI re-launched its new, redesigned website, along with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn channels. The website address remains the same at www.globalharmonization.net.

GHI members and site visitors will experience a more intuitive website, with improvements to its functionality, content and navigation. The mobile-friendly website offers easy access to information about GHI and its working group activities, conferences and meetings, and other news and developments.

"The redesigned GHI website and the rollout of our new social media platforms will help us better communicate with our members, stakeholders in industry and government, and the public worldwide," states Huub Lelieveld, GHI president. "We are pleased to have a more robust and dynamic online presence that will enable GHI to share objective, science-based evidence supporting the global harmonization of food safety laws and regulation."

Get Social with GHI

In addition to the new website, GHI's new social media sites also went live on 6 June 2016. The launch of these sites builds the association's online presence beyond its website, allowing for increased communication with stakeholders and interaction among members and the scientific community.
