The
Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) Ambassador for Argentina, Alejandro Ariosti, will be one of the featured expert speakers at
Global Food Contact 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Rome - St. Peter's Hotel in Rome, Italy from 19-21 May.
Global Food Contact conferences bring together invited industry leaders and legislators from across the food contact supply chain to explore and exchange information regarding global food contact developments and initiatives, as well as to forecast the future industry landscape. It is now critical to look beyond EU and FDA legislation as the rest of the world are developing their food contact regulations all the time, which is why Global Food Contact not only delves into EU and FDA developments, but also features updates from the Asia Pacific region, China, Japan, MERCOSUR, Canada, and more.
Mr. Ariosti, who is a chemical engineer with the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) Plastics Centre of Argentina, will make a presentation entitled, "
An Update on Food Contact Materials Regulations in MERCOSUR and Other South American Countries." In the scope of his presentation, he will provide attendees with information on
GHI's mission, goals and activities related to both global harmonization of food safety regulations and its Working Group on Food-Contact Materials.
