Attention Richmond Area Businesses : SHOW YOUR COLORS !! Griffith-Skiles American Legion Post #237 will be launching a new program on Sunday, May 1, 2016 and the first Sunday of every month there after. Beginning in May, staff members of the American Legion will drive around the businesses to see who is flying the American Flag. Each month we will award a certificate and recognition to the business. The only rules are, you must be a Richmond area business and have your flag flying or properly displayed outside for the public to view. If you need to purchase a flag or have questions on how to properly fly or display your flag, call the post at (816)-776-8056 between 8 - 10 am M-F or leave a message. We are hoping to encourage all local businesses to get onboard and SHOW YOUR COLORS by flying our flag in and around our community. We will also watch for flags that nee to be replaced because they are worn, faded or torn. The American Legion will be glad to properly dispose of any unserviceable flags as a service to the community. Share this for everyone to see. Thank you.
