How are you doing? Yes, I am talking to you. Did you have a good weekend? How's the job, wife, girlfriends, dog, etc.?
While in theory I am not directly writing to just you, if you reply back, then you and are I talking. People always seem surprised when they reply back to one of my emails and get an almost immediate response. Actually, what's even more fun is when people call and a person (usually me) answers the phone. The conversation goes like this:
Me: David Shapiro. How can I help you?
You: Oh..um. I didn't expect to get you.
Me: But you called me. Who did you expect to get?
You: Well. I don't know. A voicemail or something.
Me: Well, you got me. Do you want to call back and I won't answer so you can leave a message or do you want to talk now?
You: (slight pause as you realize I am teasing you) Okay. Can you tell me more about the [Hamptons, Club Getaway, Thursday's party, etc.]?
Then usually a normal conversation follows, but not always. I get some strange calls which is not too surprising since I am the only person dumb enough to send out my direct number to 150,000 people :)

Hamptons Summer 2013
 Last call!Going fast!Selling out!You know the deal. I am really not exaggerating...much :) It's almost May. The pool and hot tub are open, the house is being prepped, the lawn is getting cut and we're almost finished putting together the group for Hamptons Summer 2013.
