Run the Numbers and Increase Your Profits
[insert image]
You are a savvy tech user. You understand how the Web works. You know how to navigate a site. The problem is the majority of your site visitors are not like you. To them your site is not a livlihood, a communication vehicle or a means of generating customer loyalty - your site is just a tool to help them get their job done.
Your site readers are in a hurry. They skim your content. They click on links that they think save them time and they don't navigate your site the way you expect. They don't find the information they need and they leave.
But you won't know this if you aren't tracking how readers are navigating through your site.
Without metrics you won't know why your Website isn't producing many sales or sign-ups.
You can change the graphics. You can play with pricing. You can buy online ads, but unless you understand how your readers are using your site, you won't know how to increase your revenues or signups.
The key to increasing your profits is to analyze your metrics.
If you don't have the time or skills yourself, then bring in analytic expert to set up an account for you and to teach you how to read the monthly reports that are generated or have them send you quarterly recommendations with site improvements. |
