Once again, we are honored to bring together more than
40 local Maine instructors for Maine YogaFest! We are also blessed to have four dynamic regional teachers coming to share their wisdom with our community.
Halle Becker, the "Homegirl Yogini" is one of the most sought after teachers in New York City. She has been featured in the New York Post, Well + Good and Entertainment Weekly and was voted most popular yoga teacher on Alignyo website. Halle leads yoga retreats around the world and is known for her spiritual gangster style. This is Halle's first teaching excursion to Maine. Her special "Sweat & Surrender Blacklight Yoga Throwdown" workshop is not to be missed!
The inspiring Jacqui Bonwell will be returning to MYF to host her powerful "Chakra Vinyasa & Yoga Sutra Flow" workshops. If you missed the chance to experience her class last summer, make sure to sign up early and save your spot. Jacqui is an ERYT, Reiki Master, and Director of the Sacred Seeds Yoga School. She works primarily with Yoga Teachers through her 200 hr and Advanced Teacher Training programs. Though she resides in Canton, MA, Jacqui considers Maine her "home away from home" having trained and inspired hundreds of students here.
MYF is thrilled to be bringing the well-respected and talented David Magone to Maine to share his knowledge and unique style. Since founding PranaVayu Yoga in 2001, David has received a number of accolades in the press with features in Vogue Magazine, Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Self Magazine and Women's Health. In addition to teaching workshops and trainings worldwide, David serves as a curriculum developer and trainer for Exhale Spa's national yoga teacher training program. His workshops "Change Your Body, Free your Mind" and "The Radiant Bliss of Being Upside Down" are an amazing opportunity to try the popular PranaVayu vinyasa style from its founder.
Meaghan Minogue introduced Maine to the fun and challenging style of Slackline yoga at MYF. We are thrilled to be hosting Meaghan and her awesome dog again! Slackline yoga (or slackasana) is the art of balancing and practicing yoga on a 1-inch piece of webbing lightly tensioned. Although seemingly impossible, it is achievable by almost anyone with a little bit of perseverance and patience. Meaghan is the ideal teacher to guide students as they discover something new about themselves and their abilities.
