Losing Named MMC Athletic Alumnus Coach of the Year
The Mount Marty College Athletic Department is proud to announce that Aaron Losing, a 2001 graduate of the college and Alpena, SD native, has been named the Lancer Alumni Coach of the Year. Losing is currently a secondary social studies and physical education teacher at Crofton High School in Crofton, NE and has built a girls' basketball dynasty at the school.
This past 2012-2013 team finished with a perfect 27-0 record and another Nebraska State Championship. The team was rated 10th in the All-Class Nebraska High School Poll according to the Omaha World Herald.

Alumna Sister Margo Tschetter Retires
Sister Margo, a 1968 MMC graduate, has retired after 34 years at Sacred Heart and a total of 45 years in education.
Sister Margo has engaged her fifth-grade students at Sacred Heart School with baking - first with cinnamon rolls, later with cookies - as a learning project. The students gained not only baking abilities but also life and business skills. Now, the Benedictine Sister will turn over her apron and classroom, as she retires after 34 years of service to Sacred Heart School and the Yankton Catholic Community.

Alumnus Named Avera St. Mary's New CEO
Avera St. Mary's has named Paul Ebmeier, MMC class of 1987, as its new regional president and CEO of the health care facility in Pierre.
The position's responsibilities include overseeing the six facilities, including health care centers and assisted living homes, in Pierre and Gettysburg. Ebmeier, who is currently the chief operating officer of Centura Health Physician Group in Englewood, Colo., will assume his new position on Aug. 12. Prior to his work with Centura, he was the COO at Alegent Health Clinic in Omaha, Neb.

MMC Golf Classic a Success Once Again
Mount Marty College held their 29th annual golf classic May 15, 2013 at Hillcrest Country Club in Yankton, SD. More than 30 teams participated in the event and beautiful weather set the stage for a great day of golf followed by an awards ceremony and dinner sponsored by First National Bank South Dakota.
A volunteer planning committee with community members Lynette Bruening, Peggy Frank, James Grotenhuis, Bruce Teachout and Adam Walsh was essential to this year's success.
