This past weekend was bittersweet for our Carondelet community as we sent another class of graduates off into the world. These young women have been such an integral part of our lives for the past four years as we helped to nurture and challenge them to discover and embrace their many unique talents and gifts.

They are strong, capable women who have excelled in academics, leadership, service, artistic endeavors and athletic pursuits. They now have the opportunity to build on the foundation they have received from Carondelet as they strive to become all of which they are capable and continue to follow God's light in serving all of His creation with equal love and equal care.

Class of 2015 - Congratulations and God Bless all of you.

Blessings,
Bonnie A. Cotter

Congratulations to Lauren who has been accepted to Brown University's prestigious Leadership Institute this summer. Swimming Finishes 5th in State
This past weekend, seven swimmers were able to finish 5th in the state, swimming three individual and three relay teams in the final scoring heats. The 1st place team had 10 individual swims/three relays; 2nd six individual swims/three relays; 3rd (SRVHS) eight individual swims/three relays and 4th seven individual swims/two relays. Quite impressive for such a small team!  See the full results here

Maddie Murphy '16: 1st place in the 100 yd. butterfly.  Also of note, since this was the inaugural CIF State Swimming & Diving Championships, Maddie is also the meet record holder in this event. Additionally, Maddie placed 7th in the 200 yd. freestyle. Both individual swims are High School All American times.

Samantha Coloma '16: 4th place in the 100 yd. backstroke. Her swim also qualified her as a High School All American.

200 yd. medley relay: 10th place. Swimmers are: Samantha Coloma '16 (backstroke); Delaney Sprague '17 (breaststroke); Kelsey Witkay '16 (butterfly); Malorie Han '16 (freestyle). Their time in this event is a High School All American consideration time.

200 yd. freestyle relay: 6th place. Swimmers are: Maddie Murphy '16; Malorie Han '16; Kelsey Witkay '16; Allison Carr '17. Their time in this event is a High School All American automatic time.

400 yd. freestyle relay: 3rd place. Swimmers are: Maddie Murphy '16; Malorie Han '16; Kelsey Witkay '16; Samantha Coloma '16. Their time in this event is a High School All American automatic time.

We would also like to congratulate the swim team on their 2nd place finish two weeks ago (weekend of May 16) when they placed 2nd at the NCS Championship meet.  Seven swimmers had a total of six individual and three relay swims in the final scoring heats.

Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2016, we wanted to let you know that we have been meeting with juniors individually and discussing future plans, the college application process, and tasks to complete this summer. Our goal is to meet with each rising senior before the end of the school year. Please remind your daughter to sign up for an appointment if she has not already done so. Congratulations to the Parents/Guardians of CHS's newest grads! It's hard to believe that the Class of 2015 is on its way.  Our graduates have indicated where their final transcripts need to be sent. If your daughters are admitted off of wait lists or change their college of choice, it is very important that our Registrar, Mrs. Missaggia and the CHS College & Career Counselors have that updated information. Also, if your daughter receives additional scholarships, grants, or college honors, please make sure that information is sent to the College & Career Center.
