Swing for Science - Golf Tournament

Honor Roll

As we will not be sending out a newsletter next week, let us take this time to wish you a safe and blessed Easter and leave you with a reflection for Holy Week.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

--John 3:16

This has been called "the Gospel in one verse."  It is considered the most memorized verse in the Bible.  It has been printed on bumper stickers and billboards and t-shirts.  On the internet, a search of "John 3:16" yields over 2,050,000,000 sites.

One wonders if we have missed perhaps the most profound part of the message:  God so loved the world as to send us Jesus.

Next week, we will celebrate the days of Holy Week and Easter which trumpet the message of Jesus's revelation of God as absolute love, as one willing to give everything and empty himself completely for us.  What wondrous love was that?

During these holy days, pause for a few moments, breathe in the deepening awareness of that kind of unconditional love of our God for you, your family, our world.

John Shea, a spiritual writer, once so aptly put it:

What the Resurrection teaches us is not how to live ----

but how to live again, and again, and again!
