This week, from October 1 to October 3 there will be a meeting in Rome, which some are calling a "maiden summit" or "G-8" with Pope Francis  and eight cardinals from around the world. Cardinal Sean O'Malley of Boston is the only American on the committee.  Their purpose is to advise the Pope and help him come up with a plan on Church governance and reform.

Cardinals taking part in the meeting have been told that the Pope plans to be with them for almost all of their deliberations.

Then on October 4, the day after the summit wraps up, the eight cardinals have been asked to accompany Pope Francis on a one-day visit to the famed Italian city of Assisi, where the pontiff plans to visit several sites connected to the legacy of St. Francis, as well as a center for sick and disabled children.

Let's keep this vital meeting in our prayers in hopes that God's Spirit will open the cardinals' hearts!

Calling all CHS Moms to Pray: If you are not praying for your daughter, who is? See what God can do for your children and their school when you are faithful to prayer on a regular basis.

Come pray with the CHS Mothers In Prayer group. We meet every Tuesday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the CHS chapel to pray for our daughters, CHS, teachers and administrators. When you arrive, please be sure to check in at the main office.

concreteConcrete Work - Can You Help?

Because of a tripping hazard, we need to replace some concrete slabs, grind down uneven walkway seams and remove some tree roots by the Amphitheater.

If you do this kind of work, please contact the Main Office at (925) 686-5353.

While the traffic on the Bay Bridge may have become worse these past few weeks, we are happy to report that morning traffic on Treat Boulevard has been lighter (and with less incidents) than in past years. Thank YOU for driving safely and staying alert!

One Reminder: please drop off students in the coned off area as a matter of routine.  If your daughter has extra baggage, please double park in the C lot (just past the flag pole). Do not drop your daughter off in the garage parking lot as it is only for those assigned to that lot.  The safety of our students requires that we all adhere to these procedures.

Thank you for paying such close attention to the traffic monitors throughout the day and especially during the heavy traffic on Fridays.

Leave a lasting message for your graduating daughter.
