  Greetings from Mr. Eric Stong, Director of Facilities and Grounds.The Facilities Department, made up of an eight person maintenance/custodial crew, maintains the school grounds and provides a safe, clean environment for students, faculty and staff. We continually inspect the school to determine what repairs, equipment replacement, and maintenance projects are needed for the facilities and incorporate this into our five-year plan.
Over long school breaks - spring, summer, and Christmas - we coordinate larger projects for the school. In the past these have included classroom renovations, roof replacements, and new HVAC systems.
We are also responsible for the setup and removal of the many events held on campus - ranging from dances to liturgies and club fair to graduation.

Golf Team Heads to NCS
Congratulations to the Varsity Golf Team who finished 3rd in the NCS qualifier on Monday, October 22 with a score of 403, five shots behind Foothill. The team advances to the NCS D1 TOC Tournament next Monday, October 29 at Windsor Golf Club.
Morgan Allen lead Carondelet scoring with a 73, which tied her for second individually. Carondelet scoring was rounded out with Sabby Virtusio's 75, Lauren Ipsen's 81, Kelly Ransom's 86 & Katie Adam's 88.

Parent/Daughter Liturgy and Brunch - Ticket Sales End Monday, Oct. 29

The Parent /Daughter Liturgy and brunch is just a few weeks away, on Sunday, November 4. Don't miss out on this special time to share the liturgy of the Word and a special brunch afterwards with your daughter.
This event is open to all girls currently at Carondelet and to their parents, and or grandparents, godparents, aunts or uncles. Any adult who plays an important role in the life of your daughter is invited to attend and share this special time together.
Reservations are currently being accepted online and cost only $12.00 per person. Brunch will be catered by Genova delicatessen and optional keepsake photos will be available in the SAC. Don't miss out, sign up today.

Sister Clare Dunn Political Forum
 With 2012 being an election year, talk of politics is everywhere in the form of tweets, posts, likes and even good old face to face discussions. This past Thursday, October 18, we decided to use our annual Sister Clare Dunn Forum as a way to look at the current Political issues through the context of Catholic Social Teachings. A panel of 3 adult speakers began the discussion followed by an opportunity for students and faculty/staff to ask questions or make comments.

"Nightmare on Winton Drive" Senior Halloween Dance
Seniors - grab your CHS/DLS Class of 2013 friends and a costume and get ready for this year's Senior Halloween Dance "Nightmare on Winton Drive."

Christmas Card Design Contest
Students! This is your chance to share your talents with hundreds of people (and we don't mean through an Instagram photo, tweet or fb post). Carondelet is having a design the CHS Christmas Card contest. All students are encouraged to come up with a design for the cover of our annual card that we send out to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, our Board of Directors, local clergy, the staffs of local Catholic schools and parishes, and many other friends and supporters of Carondelet High School. Visions of Christmas(for everything Visions - please visit the Visions of Christmas web page regularly)  Visions of Christmas - Volunteers Needed:There are still plenty of slots for you to sign up and volunteer to work during the Visions events, but in particular we are looking for the following:
- One or two individuals to help co-chair the Tuesday tea. We have someone in place to train so you won't be on your own!
- Kitchen help for the Wednesday - Friday teas

The Friday tea is sold out so don't wait too long to make your reservation for the Tuesday - Thursday teas. Tickets are selling fast and there is no way to know when they will reach capacity. Also, gather your friends and get those reservation made for the best party in town - A Taste of Christmas (21 & older only)! The Family Breakfast with Santa may be last, but should not be considered least. Family members of all ages enjoy this magical morning capped off with the drawing for the beautiful Christmas Trees and Quilt. Please keep in mind that Visions of Christmas is a FUNDRAISER whose purpose is to raise money to directly benefit our young women in need of tuition assistance in order to attain or continue their Carondelet education. Serving our students through financial support is essential and reflects our dedication to our mission. We are still in need of financial sponsorships and in-kind donations and hope you will consider making a contribution today.
