Thinking Aloud....
DREAMING JUST AS IT HAPPENS
My latest dream comic, DREAMING JUST AS IT HAPPENS, is the sixth volume in my "graphic novel" series New Work on Myth and Dream. The whole series began as an effort to explore more creative and expressive ways of communicating with larger audiences about the deeper meanings, implications, and ways of understanding dreams and dreaming. I am particularly pleased with how this latest effort turned out.
In this little book - it's only 20 pages (34 panels with accompanying text in the form of thought and speech balloons) - I have been able to give dramatic voice to many of the multiple archetypal patterns and energies that shape all dreams (and waking life experiences as well), whether or not they are noticed or acknowledged in any given instance. I have embraced the tradition of "funny animals" as figures expressing these multiple, sometimes contradictory elements that form the basis of all "dreaming," asleep or awake. Service and Afternoon Workshop
All are welcome Morning Service (10:30am) "Whispers in the Night: Dreams and Our Evolving Wholeness" Our night-time dreams bring us closer to whatever elements of our whole being we have undervalued and it is precisely these parts of our personality that might well have the most powerful spiritual gifts to offer us.
Workshop (1-4pm) "Exploring our Spiritual Selves Through Dream Work" Each night-time dream is a snapshot from the unconscious showing us what we don't yet grasp with our waking mind. How can we work with our dreams to understand our complex spiritual selves? How can we understand the dreams of others? Is dream language the language of the Divine? Why do dreams speak in metaphor? How does understanding our dreams affect our life in the world? We'll look at these and other questions about the meaning of dreams. Time permitting we'll ground theory in discussion of at least one volunteered dream.

Seminar
Seminar: "The Paradox of the Unremembered Dream" We all have dreams we don't remember. What's going on in these dreams? How are they contributing to our evolution, and our health and wholeness? What and how can we know about their content? Why are they not remembered? Is it a question of our conscious mind not yet having evolved enough to understand or even have images, let alone words to describe these dreams? Considering this question takes us deep into the realm of understanding and "working with" paradox in our lives, both awake and asleep.
Pre-requisite: Open to those who have previously attended at least one workshop with Jeremy.
Schedule:
Friday, 7-10pm
Saturday, 9:30-5:30 (since lunch break will be short it would be best to bring your lunch)
