NYLT 2016
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is designed to have youth staff teach leadership skills to youth participants. NYLT is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home Troops and Crews and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. The course is conducted by nationally trained staff at Camp Kingsley in Ava, NY over the course of two weekends in June.
Dates - Weekend 1 June 3-5, 2016
- Weekend 2 June 10-12, 2016
Course Cost - $200 per participant if paid by April 15st.
- $225 per participant after April 15th.
- $100 per staff member
Attendee Requirements - Youth must be registered Scouts ages 13+ who've attended a week long Scout camp.
- Scouts are (or will be) First Class Rank by the course date.
- The Scout must be recommended by the Scoutmaster.
- Venturerers who have completed ILSC.

ADK Super Sports Saturday
Adirondack Foothills District will be hosting a fun-filled day for Cub Scouts at Herkimer County Community College on Saturday, March 19th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. There will be archery, soccer, swimming, and many other fun sports. Cost of the event is $8.00 per attendee, which includes a patch. Bring your own lunch, or pick something to eat up at the concession stand at the event.

Registration News

The Council has passed a bylaw that states that all registered leaders must have youth protection that lasts the whole registration period. This means that a Unit leader's youth protection must last until March each year.
Due to the Merger The computer systems will be down for the month of March. This mean that internet advancement will be affected during the month.
