Merit Badge Midway 2016 will be held on February 26th in Hubbard Hall on the Utica College Campus.  There will be 7 morning sessions and 6 afternoon sessions (as of this time).  Session sizes are limited to 12 and will be filled based on the earliest a request is received.  There will be no walk-in registrations. Lunch is included.  Start time is 8:30 am.  End time is 4:00 PM.

Camp Cards are Available Now!


Due to popular demand, We have about 5,000 cards in the scout office for units to pick up and sell. Whatever you put your fundraising dollars toward in your Pack, Troop, or Crew .  There is a lot that can be accomplished by selling these super saver cards.

Join us Feb 27th at 9:00 AM - 4:45pm . At Moses Hubbard Hall at Utica College.
 Come and join fellow Cub Scout Leaders to learn new ideas for crafts, advancement activities, games, songs, Planning and much, much more!!  All classes are taught by experienced Cub Scouters.
 
Pow Wow is open to all Cub Scout Leaders  all adults associated with your Pack are encouraged to show up!!
 

All participants will attend six classes and receive lunch and a copy of this year's Pow Wow book filled with ideas for the coming year.  Best of all, they'll have the opportunity to network with other leaders from around the Council and the Northeast Region!

Klondike Derbies



Powderhorn District Klondike Derby

On February 6th, over 55 Scouts and Scouter Attended the  Annual Powderhorn Districts Klondike Derby " Barren Waste" Scouts from all over the district took part in fun but challenging stations.  Congratulations to Oneida Troop 2 the winners of this years Klondike.



Adirondack Foothills District Klondike Derby

On February 6th, nearly 200 scouts and scouters made their way to Camp Russell to put their teamwork and scouting skills to the test at Adirondack Foothills District's annual Klondike Derby. Congratulations to Whitesboro Troop-111 for being chosen our Honor Troop and to Dolgeville Troop-18 the winners of this years Klondike.  Thanks to all the scouts and scouters who helped make this yearly event such a success once again. 

Save the date February 4th, 2017 for next years Klondike!


Scout Sunday 
 
Boy Scouts of Troop 18 in Cazenovia served coffee and donuts to the parishioners of St. James Catholic Church on Sunday, February 7th.  After the coffee hour in which Scouts and adult leaders spoke with members of the parish, the Scouts attended the 11 AM mass.  Three Scouts served mass in their Class A uniforms and four adults, also in uniform, served as ushers.

Ad Altare Dei Religious Award Course

Catholic Boy Scouts and Venturing Scouts (male AND female) can earn their Ad Altare Dei Religious Award by attending the upcoming classes.

We will begin on March 6th at 6 - 8:30 PM at The Good News Center, 10475 Cosby Manor Road, Utica. Classes will be held every Sunday - EXCEPT EASTER - through May 22. A Day of Recollection (required) will be held at a time and place to be determined.
