HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO:

- Set your video to "Unlisted". This means that only people who have the link can view the video, but will not show up publicly on your youtube channel.

Officials ID Tags
The Section requests that all Judges, Data Specialists, Technical Panel, Event Technicians and Live Streamers wear their photo ID when attending a competition to which they have been assigned to. Evaluators are requested to wear their photo ID tag when attending test days.
Please submit your Officials ID Tag Request Form to the Section office to receive your complimentary ID tag. You must be registered with Skate Canada for the current year (September 1 -August 31) to receive your photo ID tag. If you currently have a valid photo ID tag and have registered for the skating season (starting September 1) a new season sticker will be mailed to you once confirmation of registration is received from the National office.
Skate Canada Retired Officials Group
The role of an official is integral to hosting any figure skating competition. There is a high level of commitment and expertise required to fulfill the role of an official as their duties include vastly specialized skill sets and a dedication to continuing education in order to keep pace with the evolving nature of the sport. Similar to a traditional career path, a volunteer official will reach a time in their lives where they will decide to retire from officiating at the championship level.
If you are a retired Challenge/Divisional level or higher official, or know someone who is, please pass along this link so you can reconnect with the organization and your officiating peers who have helped deliver our past Skate Canada Championship events.

CanSkate CONNECTION
Here is an easy tip to turn the cold, slippery, stark white ice into a fun learning environment! Cut off the tops of your pylons or toilet plungers and insert seasonal decorations, such as scarecrows on sticks in the fall, snowmen in the winter, flowers in the spring and butterflies or bees in the summer. Visit your local Dollar Store for inexpensive re-usable items.
Happy Ice Decorating,

CanSkate Club Support - Year 2
[Update from Skate Canada]
We know that many clubs are fully operational, while some clubs are just getting started with the new program. We want to offer as much support as we can to help clubs get up and running, or to reinforce what is being done, in order to offer the best program possible. We need to know which areas clubs still need more information, resources or training so we can address and service these requirements.
To this end, we will be continuing the national club support program this season, through which we have CanSkate Resource Team members and national office staff reaching out to clubs across the country. We have a list of clubs that have asked for support whom we will be servicing, as well as a random selection of clubs in each section. In addition, clubs may approach CanSkate Resource Team members on their own or contact their section office, should they wish to arrange their own support visit or conference call. The list of CanSkate Resource Team members and their contact information can be found in the Info Centre under the New CanSkate Program folder.
CanSkate Program Confirmation Form
In order to gauge the level of program delivery across the country, please complete and submit the CanSkate Program Confirmation Form - only if your club has not done so already, or if your club's delivery status has changed from last season.
Should you have any questions on the above, please contact us at info@skatecanada.ca.

Update Your Club Information
The Section office requests that each club and skating school submit updated contact information each year in September and throughout the year as updates may occur.
The contact information collected is then detailed in the Section Club Directory which can be requested by Club Presidents and Test Chairs to assist with communication between clubs, especially in regards to the organization of test days. If you have any questions regarding any of the information requested by the survey, please email Kelly Havixbeck.
