Skate Canada Special General Meeting

Skate Canada will be holding a Special General Meeting October 14, 2014 at 19:00 (Eastern), where all clubs, skating schools and coaches will have the opportunity to vote on the new recommended Skate Canada bylaws. This is the first time that Skating Schools and Coaches will have the right to vote as members of the association. This is an exciting opportunity to actively participate in the votes that affect the future of the organization.

It is very important that all voting members take the time to review these recommended bylaws and cast their vote!

It is important to note that each person may only vote once. Every coach in good standing is entitled to one vote unless that Certified Professional Coach has been named by a member club/skating school as its delegate. In this case the person cannot also vote as a Certified Professional Coach.

Detailed instructions on how to declare attendance at this electronic meeting either directly as a delegate or through assigning of proxy representation can be found on the Skate Canada Info Centre at this location.

In the coming weeks you will see further communication on how and when to cast your vote. There will also be advance voting available, these details will be outlined soon.

Should you require further information please contact the Member Services department at info@skatecanada.ca or 1.888.747.2372.

Stay tuned for further details!
