Skate Canada: Alberta-NWT/Nunavut is proud to be sending 3 synchronized skating teams to the 2014 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships in Burnaby, British Columbia from February 20-22, 2014.
Teams will compete for National titles in the Senior, Junior, Open, Intermediate and Novice categories. Featured below are the teams and skaters that will be representing the Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Section at the 2014 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships.

Black Gold Open Team - Calgary Synchronized Skating Club
|
Black Gold Open team is comprised of 17 members with skaters from Calgary, Okotoks, and Carstairs. The team consists of veteran synchronized skaters who have been together for quite a few years, with a couple new faces coming from other synchro teams. The team ranges in ages from 17 - 37! But when it comes to skating, age lines become blurred, and the love of synchro is the main focus.

Ice Angels Novice Team - Lethbridge Skating Club
|
The skaters of the Lethbridge Ice Angels Novice team range in age from 12 to 16 years. The team has competed twice this season earning themselves a personal best of 60.88 at the Mountain Regional Championships in their hometown. The Ice Angels practice 1-2 times per week at their local rink and can't wait to experience nationals together for the first time. The team has been training hard this season working on their upbeat program choreographed by Nina Evans.

Ice Angels Intermediate Team - Lethbridge Skating Club

The Lethbridge Ice Angels Intermediate team has been working extremely hard for the past few months in preparation for Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships. The skaters range in age from 14 to 25, and are all very dedicated to the success of the team. The placed 1st at the Rosebowl competition in Calgary, 2nd at Mountain Regionals in Lethbridge and are hoping to skate well at nationals.
