Invite Jesus to lead you!

As we begin our Lenten journey - we should start with inviting Jesus to lead us.  Many times during Lent we look for ways to serve and sacrifice just as Jesus has done for us.  This time of Lent is a time to renew our relationship with the Lord.

Dedicating this season of Lent to the Lord we are reminded in Psalm 51:11 "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."   We can take this journey of 40 days and reflect on God's words of how He is always by our side.  He hears our call to have a pure and clean heart.  He fills our life with love and grace that is built into our God given spirit that we reflect to the world.

These forty days gives us a measurable amount of time to witness this growth and sacrifice in our life.  Through prayer and petition we can each walk step by step as we follow the way of the cross.  It is a time of reflection and understanding of the sacrifice our Lord has made to to redeem us.
So friends, let us recommit this Lenten season and devote our time to renewing our spirit and inviting Jesus to lead us.

Give thanks to the God of heaven,
his love endures forever.
- Psalm 136:26

Lets make prayer the center of our Lenten journey.  Prayer fills our life and brings us closer to the Lord and our loved ones.  It is important to take time to pray for your own needs and the needs of others. Lifting concerns to the Lord will bring you peace and comfort - He is listening.

Praise God that He keeps our eighteen month old grandson, Michael, safe and protected from others and that He continues to develop him as he has Down Syndrome. Thank you. - Jon

Thank you for praying for my dad.  He has been in the hospital for a mass on his bladder.  After several tests the results show it is benign.

Thank you again.  -Bill

I had breast cancer surgery on Wednesday, fearing the worst.

The surgeon called with the first biopsy result - negative in outer margins and lymph nodes.  We truly give praise and thanks to God, and thank you so much for this comforting ministry. - Sydney

Here is wonderful quote from our Founder, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, that will be a good reminder as we journey through this Lenten season.

"I place this day, my life, my loved ones, my work in the Lord's hands.  There is no harm in the Lord's hands, only good.  Whatever happens, whatever results, if I am in the Lord's hands it's the Lord's will and it is good."

-Norman Vincent Peale
